The objective of the Turn Around Taylor program is to reduce and eliminate juvenile crime and drug trafficking and to revitalize the community in crime infested areas. Donning hard hats and matching T-shirts, the Turn Around Taylor group marches to confront drug dealers or users and to chant their anti-crime, anti-drug messages. They pick up trash and pass out lollipops to children as they chant. The successful Turn Around Taylor project was used as a model for the Turn Around Texas program led by Gov. George W. Bush.
