Parent Networks is a simple concept. Parents list the names of their children's friends, their phone numbers and their parents' names. Then they call the other parents, hold get-togethers and establish common rules and procedures to stay in touch to keep our kids safe and them avoid drugs, alcohol and other trouble. Over 60 cities in American have asked for permission to replicate the Parent Networks program. Started in 1995 and still going strong, the program is strengthening families, helping Your State - Crime Statistics drop three times as fast as the national average, and keeping kids safe.

Put simply Crime Stoppers is a three part approach to solving the crime problem. It relies on cooperation between the police, the media, and the general community to provide a flow of information about crime and criminals. Mat-Su Crime Stoppers selects a Crime of the Week and it is published in the local newspaper and reported on local radio stations. Periodically a reenactment of the crime of the week is shown on area television stations.
