DHSS New Jersey HMOs: Performance Report

The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, with the cooperation of the New Jersey HMOs and the National Committee for Quality Assurance, has compiled the information available in New Jersey's first HMO report card. This report card shows how successful various HMOs have been in providing preventive care, such as immunizing children and screening women for certain cancers. It also includes the ratings HMO members give their plans in areas such as overall quality of care, access to specialists and ability of personal care physicians to communicate with their patients. The report is a free download.

New Hampshire Division of Public Health Services (DPHS) is the State's public health agency with responsiblility for protecting and promoting the health of all of New Hampshire's citizens. DPHS is organized into four major operating units: Family and Community Health, Health Protection, Disease Prevention and Control, and Environmental Health and Hazard Assessment. State Public Health Laboratories provide virology, bacteriology, chemistry, blood alcohol/drug and related specimen testing. Chronic Disease-Health Data provide Vital Records and Health Statistics, Combined Health Data Services, Health Promotion (wellness/fitness/disease prevention/tobacco control), and Chronic Disease Control.
