As part of our continuing effort to extend education and outreach beyond just the television broadcast, Hedrick Smith Productions works with our sponsoring station, South Carolina Educational Television, to develop an outreach guide for each program.

These companion publications contain a wealth of information for educators, discussion leaders and other interested in fostering discussion and debate of the issues contained in each program. Each guide provides case studies taken from the characters and institutions profiled in the program, discussion questions and a list of national resources that educators and facilitators can turn to for more information on the topic in question.
